A.C.DAdvance Cargo Declaration
Kenya, formally known as the Republic of Kenya, is a country in East Africa. It borders South Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, Uganda to the west, and Tanzania to the south-southwest. It is bordered by the Indian Ocean to the southeast. The capital and largest city of the country is Nairobi.
Effective September 1, 2026, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) requires that an Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) be obtained at the ports of origin prior to the arrival of the cargo.
Some shipping lines may refuse to load cargo without an ACD number.
Cargo arriving without an ACD may be subject to fines and delays.
